Oakshire Annual Meeting 2025
Planning a Building Project? Our CCRs require that all property buildings or additions (fences, outbuildings, modifications to exisiting structures) be approved prior to construction.
Speed Limits in Oakshire are 25 mph. Please be aware of walkers, joggers, and bikers while driving through our neighborhood.
Postal Service requests we put our trashcans out on the driveway side opposite our mailbox, and to trim all vegetation away from the mailbox, as well as clear any accumulated snowdrifts in winter - to keep the pathway clear for our mail delivery.
Summer grass clippings and lawn debris should be blown back onto your property after mowing. This helps keep the road surface from becoming a hazard to bikes and motorcycles that use our roadways and helps present a tidy appearance on our lots.
Annual Oakshire Events include:
- Oakshire Garage Sale Days - typically held a Thursday, Friday, Saturday in spring or fall. Each participating family sets up their sale on their own property. The HOA posts signs on Z Hwy and 50 Hwy, and posts on local social media group pages to help draw traffic to the sale.
- Green and Clean - during the month of March, before the spring mowing season, our residents pick up trash along the roadways of Oakshire and the Oakshire frontage along Z Hwy. We encourage all residents to pick up trash throughout the year, as well as to put trash in its proper receptacle. One Saturday morning in late March/early April volunteers gather to pick up what is still on the ground.
- Fourth of July - some years, we have a community 4th of July celebration with a meal and firework display, which is paid for by the HOA. This event is weather dependent and requires and open area for shooting off fireworks. As our neighborhood develops over time, there may not be a big enough area to safely host this event.
- Annual HOA Member Meeting - is usually held on a Friday evening or Saturday morning in September or October. Residents meet in the lower cul-de-sac on 785 Rd to discuss current Oakshire business and to vote on new Directors. Sometimes a meal is provided by the HOA. Please bring your lawn chairs for seating.
- Christmas Caroling - weather dependent, in December, residents also plan a caroling event in the neighborhood.
